In the past it was necessary to use a desktop computer in the library in order to print web pages, documents on LexisNexis Web Courses and TWEN, etc. Now anyone logged into the Western State wireless network may send printing to a print release station in the library (Main Level and Lower Level) and retrieve print jobs as long as they have an eCard (a Copy Card available for purchase in the library).
Note: There are separate printers for printing of documents such as cases and statutes retrieved on the Lexis.com, Lexis Advance, Westlaw Classic, and WestlawNext databases. You do not need the wireless printing setup or an eCard in order to print these documents.
Instructions for how to set up your particular laptop computer may be found at either of these addresses (which are available to users logged in to the Western State wireless network): http://wsunt-libps or http://10.230.20.6.
In step 1 of the instructions, if you are asked to login to the printer, you should enter the same username (without the @ sign) and password that you use to access the wireless network via Cisco NAC Agent.
If you want a pop-up window in which you can enter a name for the print job and see the cost and number of pages of the printing, you will need Java on your computer. Java is available for download at http://www.java.com/en/download/.
Note: Students with Windows 7 or Windows Vista may not see the Run command in the Start menu, which is necessary for setting up wireless printing on these computers. (The Run command is automatically available in the Start menu of Windows XP.) You can get the Run command by pressing the Windows logo key + R, or by following the instructions at:
